Order personalised Christmas gifts by 10.12.2026 for delivery anywhere in Estonia before 24 December, and by 10.12.2026 for Latvia and Lithuania. Personalised items are made after you order, and parcel lockers across the Baltics are at their busiest in mid-December, so do not leave it to the last week.
How Christmas works in Estonia
If you are spending your first Christmas here, a few things are different from the UK or US:
- Christmas Eve (24 December) is the main day. Presents are opened in the evening, after dinner. The 25th and 26th are quieter family days.
- Jõuluvana (the Christmas old man) often visits in person, and children are expected to say a poem or sing a song before they get their present.
- The traditional dinner is blood sausage, sauerkraut, roast pork, potatoes and lingonberry jam, with gingerbread (piparkoogid) for dessert.
- Many families visit graves on Christmas Eve and light candles.
That poem-for-a-present custom is worth knowing. If your child is at an Estonian kindergarten, they will learn one.

- An engraved bottle opener or photo keyring for colleagues.
- A fragrance, see our guide to choosing perfume as a gift.
Tips for on-time delivery
- Order a few days before the deadline, not on it.
- Choose a parcel locker rather than courier delivery in December.
- Check your design carefully. Personalised items cannot be changed once made.
- Send directly to the recipient if they live in another town or country. See shipping to Latvia and Lithuania.
Merry Christmas in three languages
